Review SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel

Berbicara soal soothing gel selalu menjadi sesuatu yang aku sukai. Kalau nggak salah sejak 5 atau 6 tahun yang lalu aku mulai tergila-gila dengan soothing gel. Setidaknya ada lebih dari 10 macam soothing gel telah aku coba. Korean brand, local brand, mulai dari yang paling mainstream variant aloe vera, buah-buahan hingga  susu pernah aku coba. Alasanku menyukai soothing gel karena menurutku produk ini multifungsi, bisa kita pakai dari ujung kepala hingga kaki. Fun fact, meskipun soothing gel multifungsi tapi aku tidak pernah menggunakannya sebagai pelembap utama kulit wajahku. 

Talking about soothing gel has always been my favorite things. If I’m not mistaken, 5 or 6 years ago I started to go crazy over soothing gels.  I have tried at least more than 10 kinds of soothing gel.  I’ve tried Korean brands, local brands, starting from the most mainstream variants, aloe vera, fruits to milk.  The reason I like soothing gel is because I think this product is multifunctional, we can use it from head to toe.  Fun fact, even though the soothing gel is multifunctional but I never use it as the main moisturizer for my facial skin.

Aku sangat beruntung karena berkesempatan untuk mencoba versi terbaru soothing gel SNP dengan formula yang telah diperbaiki. Kalian pasti sudah tahu kan kalau SNP ini adalah Korean brand yang telah resmi masuk Indonesia. Soothing gel terbaru SNP ini terdiri dari 4 variants, yaitu Aloe Vera, Pomegranate, Snail & Birds Nest. Aku berkesempatan untuk mencoba variant Aloe Vera, sebenarnya aku pengen banget cobain variant bird nest, karena menurutku itu unik. 

Luckily, I had the opportunity to try the newest version of SNP’s soothing gel with an improved formula.  You must have known that SNP is a Korean brand that has officially marketed in Indonesia.  SNP’s newest soothing gel consists of 4 variants, Aloe Vera, Pomegranate, Snail & Birds Nest.  I had the opportunity to try the Aloe Vera one, actually I really want to try the bird nest, because I think it’s unique.

Jika versi sebelumnya namanya SNP Soothing Gel, versi terbarunya ini namanya SNP Intensive Soothing Gel. Apa bedanya dengan versi lama? Sebenarnya untuk kandungan versi lama dan baru masih sama, hanya saja versi terbaru memiliki tambahan kandungan yang tidak akan mengiritasi kulit maupun menyebabkan alergi. Selain itu SNP Intensive soothing gel ini memiliki fragrance yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan versi sebelumnya.

Jujur aku belum pernah coba versi sebelumnya, jadi maaf kalau aku nggak bisa ngasih perbandingan secara detail seperti apa? 

If the previous version was called SNP Soothing Gel, the newest version is called SNP Intensive Soothing Gel.  What's the difference with the old version?  Actually, the ingredients of the old and new versions are still the same, it's just that the latest version has additional ingredients that will not irritate the skin or cause allergies.  In addition, this SNP Intensive Soothing Gel has better fragrance compared to the previous version. 

Honestly I've never tried the previous version, so sorry if I can't give a detailed comparison.

Seperti soothing gel pada umumnya, produk ini diformulasikan untuk menenangkan kulit, terutama setelah terpapar sinar matahari, meredakan kemerahan pada kulit yang disebabkan oleh paparan sinar UV / pengaruh eksternal lain, memberikan efek cooling pada kulit lelah, menutrisi serta melembapkan. Keunggulannya produk ini mengandung Allergen-free, jadi aman banget buat kalian yang punya alergi dengan beberapa kandungan yang dicurigai bisa menyebabkan alergi. Contohnya alkohol pewarna buatan, animal oil, mineral oil, parabens, benzophenone & fragrance. Bukannya produk ini masih mengandung alkohol dan fragrance? Ya, betul produk ini mengandung alkohol dan fragrance, tapi kandungan alkoholnya itu kurang dari 1% jadi aman banget buat yang kulitnya sensitif, lalu versi terbaru ini fragrance-nya diganti. Ngomong-ngomong fragrance itu juga tersusun atas beberapa ingredients didalamnya, jadi mungkin yang sebelumnya measih ada kandungan yang bisa menyebabkan alergi. Soothing gel ini aman dan bisa digunakan segala usia.

Like any soothing gel, this product is formulated to soothe the skin, especially after sun exposure, relieves the redness caused by UV rays exposure or the other external factors, provide a cooling effect on tired skin, nourish and moisturize. The advantage is that this product contains Allergen-free, so it is very safe for those of you who have allergies with some ingredients that are suspected of causing allergies.  For example alcohol, artificial dyes, animal oil, mineral oil, parabens, benzophenone & fragrance.  Doesn't this product still contain alcohol and fragrance? Yes, it is true that this product contains alcohol and fragrance, but the alcohol content is less than 1% so it is very safe for those with sensitive skin, and this latest version has the fragrance replaced. By the way, the fragrance is also composed of several ingredients in it, so maybe the previous ones had ingredients that could cause allergies. This soothing gel is safe and can be used for all ages.

Sementara untuk kandungan lain yang ada di dalam SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel ini masih sama dengan versi sebelumnya. Berikut aku jelaskan sedikit tentang kandungan utamanya. 

• Menggunakan lidah buaya organik, ini dipercaya lebih bagus khasiatnya untuk kesehatan kulit. 
• Mengandung 9 herbal ingredients: Chamomile, Rosemary, Lavender, Bergamot, Basil, Sage, Oregano, Spearmint & Lemon Balm. Kandungan ini memiliki manfaat anti-inflamatory dan antibacterial yang cukup kuat sehingga bagus bagi mereka yang memiliki acne prone skin.
• Mengandung Centella Asiatica. Ini adalah kandungan favoritku, sangat bagus untuk proses penyembuhan kulit yang sedang bermasalah dan menenangkan kulit sensitifku. 

Membaca deretan kandungan utamanya diatas membuatku yang memiliki acne prone skin merasa ini akan bagus dikulitku. 

Meanwhile, the other ingredients in the SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel are still the same as the previous version.  Here I will explain a little about the main ingredients.

• Using organic aloe vera, it is believed to be better for skin health.
• Contains 9 herbal ingredients: Chamomile, Rosemary, Lavender, Bergamot, Basil, Sage, Oregano, Spearmint & Lemon Balm.  This ingredients has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits which are quite strong, making it good for those with acne prone skin.
• Contains Centella Asiatica.  This is my favorite ingredient, very good for the healing process of troubled skin and soothes my sensitive skin.

Sekarang mari kita bahas tentang kemasannya. Sekilas itu terlihat sama dengan versi sebelumnya, tapi kemudian aku menyelami website resmi mereka untuk membandingkan, dan aku menemukan bahwa versi terbaru ini sudah tidak menyebutkan berapa persen Aloe Vera yang terkandung didalamnya. Versi lama jelas menunjukkan di bagian tutup dan badan kemasan bahwa kandungan Aloe Vera-nya sebesar 97%.

Now let’s talk about the packaging.  At first glance it looks the same as the previous version, but then I dive into their official website to compare, and I find that this latest version doesn’t mention how many percentage of Aloe Vera is contained in it.  The old version clearly shows on the lid and body of the package that the Aloe Vera content is 97%.

Untuk kemasan produknya masih sama berbentuk jar besar ukuran 300gram warna hijau, hanya saja warna jar versi baru ini hijaunya agak lebih terang. Tidak seperti jar soothing gel kebanyakan dimana bagian badan jar-nya bakal polos saja, SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel bagian badan jar-nya tercetak nama produk, variant dan klaim-nya. Membuka tutupnya kalian akan melihat lid di dalamnya, ini sangat aman supaya produk tidak tumpah atau menempel pada tutup. Dibagian belakang jar terdapat informasi produk seperti kandungan, produksi, etc. Tercetak dalam bahasa Inggris dan  Indonesia tertempel dengan stiker sehingga mudah dimengerti.

The product packaging is still the same, the product is packaged in a large jar containing 300 grams of product, with a green jar color, the difference is that this new version is slightly lighter green.  Unlike most soothing gel jars where the body of the jar will be plain, SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel on the body of the jar has the product name, variant and claims printed on it.  Opening the lid you will see the second lid inside, this is very safe so the product doesn't spill or stick to the lid.  On the back of the jar there are product information such as ingredients, production, etc.  Printed in English and Indonesian, affixed with a sticker so that it is easy to understand.

Kemasan bentuk jar seperti ini sebenarnya aku kurang suka, aku lebih memilih bentuk tube karena menurutku jauh lebih higienis dan praktis. Aku nggak mungkin mencelupkan secara langsung jariku ke dalam jar, jadi aku menggunakan spatula untuk mengambil gel-nya dan itu tidak termasuk dalam produk.

Actually, I don't like jar packaging, I prefer tube packaging because I think it's more hygienic and practical.  I couldn't possibly dip my finger directly into the jar, so I used a spatula to scoop out the gel and it wasn't part of the product purchase.

Ketika lid produk aku buka, gel menempel pada lid dan itu terlihat kokoh tidak berantakan atau terlalu cair. Melihat tekstur soothing gel yang bergoyang-goyang dalam jar merupakan bagian favoritku, itu terlihat segar, seolah-olah aku ingin menenggelamkan diri kedalamnya, hehe. Meskipun terlihat kokoh, tapi produk langsung mencair ketika menyentuh kulit. Terasa sangat ringan dan mudah terserap, meskipun begitu ketika terserap masih meninggalkan rasa lembap dikulit.

When I opened the product lid, the gel stuck to the lid and it looked solid, not messy or too liquid.  Seeing the texture of the soothing gel swaying in the jar is my favorite part, it looks fresh, as if I want to submerge myself in it, hehe.  Even though it looks solid, the product melts immediately when it hits the skin.  It feels very light and gets absorbed easily, even so when it gets absorbed it still leaves a moist feeling on the skin.

Baunya cukup kuat, ketika tutup dibuka semerbak bau khas aloe vera langsung tercium. Tercium kuat ketika gel belum diratakan ke kulit, tapi kemudian setelah diratakan baunya berubah jadi lebih lembut hingga kemudian menghilang. Ini jauh lebih baik dibanding tipe produk dengan aroma yang menempel cukup lama dikulit. 

The scent is quite strong, when you open the lid, you can immediately smell the distinctive scent of aloe vera.  It smells strong when the gel has not been applied to the skin, but then after applying it the smell becomes softer and then disappears.  This is much better than the type of product with lingering scent.

Perawatan Rambut & Kulit Kepala (Hair & Scalp Treatment)

Ini adalah tujuan utamaku setiap kali membeli soothing gel, yaitu menggunakannya untuk perawatan rambut dan kulit kepala. Bagimana cara menggunakannya? Pertama sebagai hair mask, aku aplikasikan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel ke seluruh rambut serta kulit kepala. Diamkan selama 1 jam, kemudian bilas dengan shampoo. Cara ini sangat efektif menutrisi rambut, membuatnya sehat dan terasa halus. Cara selanjutnya ini mungkin akan bermanfaat buat kalian yang senasib denganku memiliki salah satu penyakit autoimun yaitu psoriasis. Aku memiliki psoriasis di kulit kepala dan awal tahun ini mereka juga menyerang kuku ku. Aku mengaplikasikan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel ke bagian kulit kepalaku yang menebal dan mengelupas. Memang ini tidak bisa menyembuhkan psoriasis dokterku sendiri bilang, kondisiku ini tidak bisa disembuhkan tapi bisa dirawat menggunakan skincare, salah satunya Aloe Vera Soothing Gel, membantu membersihkan bagian kulit yang mengelupas dan menghentikan pertumbuhan sel kulit yang tumbuh terlalu cepat.

This is my main purposes whenever I buy a soothing gel, which is to use it for hair and scalp care.  How do I use it?  First as a hair mask, I applied SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel to all over my hair and scalp.  Let stand for 1 hour, then rinse with shampoo.  This method is very effective in nourishing hair, leaving it healthy and feeling smooth.  This next method might be useful for those of you who are in the same boat as me having an autoimmune disease, namely psoriasis.  I have psoriasis on my scalp and earlier this year they attacked my nails too.  I apply SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel to the part of my scalp which thickens and peels off.  Indeed, this cannot cure psoriasis my doctor himself said that my condition cannot be cured but can be treated using skincare, one of which is Aloe Vera Soothing Gel, which helps treat the scaly rash and stops the skin cells that growing faster. 

Aftersun Treatment

Aku gunakan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel yang telah lebih dulu disimpan di kulkas setiap kali habis panas-panasan. Asli deh rasanya dingin & enak banget! Habis panas-panasan kulit terasa terbakar auto kalem pakai produk ini. 

I use SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel which has been stored in the refrigerator beforehand whenever I’m exposed to sunburn.  Seriously it feels really comfortable on the skin, it’s really good!  After the heat, the skin burns automatically calmly using this product.

Body Care

Aku bukan fans body lotion, jadi aku sering menggunakan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel ini sebagai penggantinya untuk memberikan kelembapan terhadap kulit. Aku lebih suka pakai soothing gel dibandingkan body lotion karena tidak lengket. Aku oleskan soothing gel ke seluruh badanku tepat setelah mandi. 

I’m not body lotion's fans, so I often use this SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel as a substitute to provide moisture to the skin.  I prefer using soothing gel instead of body lotion because it’s not sticky.  I apply soothing gel all over my body after showering.

Kalian yang baru belajar memasak aku sarankan taruh 1 jar SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel di dapur! Beberapa hari yang lalu aku sedang goreng ayam, dan minyaknya meledak-ledak, cipratannya hingga ke tanganku. Aku langsung mengolesinya dengan produk ini, bagian yang terasa panas dan perih langsung reda, juga tidak terjadi pembengkakan. 

For those of you who are just learning to cook, I suggest putting 1 jar of SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel in the kitchen!  A few days ago I was frying chicken, and the oil was exploding, splashing it up to my hands.  I immediately smeared it with this product, the part that felt hot and sore immediately subsided, and there was no swelling. 

Mask Pack

Yang terakhir aku gunakan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel sebagai masker wajah. Eittss, aku nggak pakai ini setiap hari untuk wajah yaa. Lalu kapan? Aku hanya menggunakannya ketika kulitku terasa flaky dan iritasi, itu ampuh banget secara instant menenangkan iritasi dan mengurangi flaky skin. Bagaimana caranya? Aku oleskan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel secara tebal ke kulit wajahku, lalu menutupnya dengan compressed mask, lanjut diatasnya aku olesin lagi dengan SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel. Diamkan selama 20-30menit.

The last, I used SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel as a face mask. Eittss, I don't use this on my face every day. I only use it when my skin feels flaky and irritated, it really works to instantly calm irritation and reduce flaky skin. How to? I apply SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel thickly to my face, then cover it with a compressed mask, then above that I apply it again with SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel. Let stand for 20-30 minutes.

Conclusion

Sebagai pecinta soothing gel yang telah mencoba lebih dari 10 macam soothing gel, SNP Aloe Vera Intensive Soothing Gel ini #YourWildDaisyApproved !!! Apa alasannya? Selama hampir 2 minggu menggunakan soothing gel ini aku tidak melihat adanya reaksi buruk dikulitku, bahkan untuk kulit wajahku. Soothing gel ini juga memberikan efek lembap yang cukup baik, tidak seperti soothing gel kebanyakan yang hanya memberikan soothing sensation tapi kemudian efek lembapnya lenyap dalam hitungan detik. Hanya saja aku berharap kelak SNP membuat soothing gel dalam kemasan tube karena menurutku lebih higienis, atau mungkin membuat versi unscented dari produk ini, hehe. Tapi selebihnya ini bagus!
